John considers himself to be “on sabbatical” from the law as he pursues his interests in history and writing, splitting his time between Seattle and Sun Valley. In 2020, John published two companion books that give an unparalleled insight into the history of the Wood River Valley and the Sun Valley resort: Sun Valley, Ketchum and the Wood River Valley, and Skiing Sun Valley: a History from Union Pacific to the Holdings.
