Kick off your summer with our 4th annual trout fishing derby!
The Trout fishing derby is sure to be one of the most exciting events of the summer!
The fish are biting so grab your pole, bring some bait and kick off the summer season. Idaho Fish and Game will be waiting for you at the Village Pond to give pointers on how to catch “The Big One”. The derby is for kids 5 -12, but anyone can try their luck. Of course there will be PRIZES too!!

This private pond does not require any fishing license and is open to our Elkhorn Residents and Guests. This pond is stocked annually with Rainbow Trout ranging in size from 9 to 18 inches. Some trout have been recorded at over 24 inches weighing 2 to 3 pounds! Fishing fun for the entire family. The pond officially opens for public fishing on July 10th.
