RENTAL AMENITY ACCESS FEE – COMMITTEE UPDATE (3/13/2025)

At the September 2024 board meeting, the SVEA board approved a change to the Rental Amenity Fee Program that is effective as of May 1, 2025.

RENTAL AMENITY ACCESS CHANGES AS OF MAY 1st, 2025

During the September 2024 Board meeting, the SVEA Board approved the following changes to the Rental Amenity Access Fee program: Rental Administrative Fee: The mandatory Rental Amenity Fee will be reduced from $600 annually to $100 annually.  All owners renting property in Elkhorn will be required to pay the Rental Administrative Fee even if they do not provide SVEA amenity access to their tenants.

Note: For all owners renting their property on a 12-month lease, their tenants will have access to SVEA amenities at no additional charge.  A copy of the lease indicating a 12 month duration must be provided to the administrative office.

The following Amenity Access Pass Program will be made available for owners renting their property on a less than 12-month basis:

Standard Rental Annual Access Pass: $900/Year

This short-term rental (less than 12 months) pass will allow owners to offer their tenants’ year round access to SVEA amenities.

Standard Rental Seasonal Access: $850/Summer Season (May-October) $150/Winter Season (Nov-April)

This short-term rental (less than 12 months) pass offers owners renting seasonally the ability to offer amenity access on a seasonal basis.  Many owners may occupy their property personally during the summer or winter season and can opt to pay a lower fee.

Occasional Rental Access – Weekly Access: $210/Week Summer Season Pass (May-October) $40/Week Winter Season Pass (November-April)

This short-term rental (less than 12 months) pass offers owners renting on a short term or occasional basis the ability to offer SVEA amenities to their tenants on an as needed basis. No partial week or daily passes are available.  The weekly passes are sold in seven (7) day increments at the stated weekly rate

To help provide an easy transition to the new Rental Amenity Access Fee, the SVEA staff has provided the link below to the Rental Amenity Owner Registration Form. Owners can click on the form below, fill it out, and submit it to the SVEA office with payment to register a rental unit. The information and payment will need to be received at the SVEA office prior to May 1, 2025, to avoid any disruption in your tenants being granted facility access. The office staff is able to assist you with registration at the Harker Center Management office during normal business hours. The Elkhorn Staff are here to support you through the transition.Owners must have registered as a rental unit and paid the $100.00 administration fee to qualify for this option.

RAFT Committee Presentation: July 12, 2024 Board Meeting

The SVEA Board of Directors in their March 2024 board meeting formed a committee to review the Rental Amenity Access Fee and audit the existing use of technology by SVEA.  The Committee initiated the review of the Rental Amenity Access Fee by holding a public forum of rental property owners affording them an opportunity to present their concerns for Committee consideration.  Following the public forum session, the Committee compiled actual use data which the rental property owners outlined as a primary basis on which any conclusions should be made. With use data information compiled for the 2023/24 season, the Committee outlined a  rental fee program that could potentially address most of the concerns expressed by the rental property owners.

Authorization for Electronic Notice(1/15/2025)
